Music Night

A very successful 'Music Night' was held at Huntingdon Town Hall on Saturday 26th October with 90 people including performers attending. A great night was had by all. The evening started with Malcolm Talbot's Big 9 Jazz Band playing people into the function.

David Brown MC for the evening then welcomed everybody and introduced Malcolm’s Band for their first session, who were then followed by Grumblin Boy Merryweather, David Brown really, singing some of his own comedy folk songs.

Next was Maryse Menager-Stephenson singing some good old French songs. Supper was then served.
Malcolm’s Band then played through to the end of the supper and into their next session, which was followed by a great selection of old favourites and some comedy from Brian Perrett and Pat Keane. Moira Shirra and Gren Gutterridge did their slot which was a take-off of the Eurovision Song Contest. They sang a song from each of our twinned countries, with a quick change between each song. David Brown compared their act and did a few jokes during the quick changes. The evening finished with the Twinning Choir.

The event raised £805 for Twinning Funds. Thanks to everyone who made the evening a great success.
